Lule Volley’s women’s A team made a powerful entrance into Division 2 this past weekend, kicking off the season with two back-to-back victories. It was a long and intense first matchday, filled with tight sets and momentum shifts that kept both players and spectators in suspense.
The opening match against KFUM Skellefteå Volley set the tone for the day. Skellefteå came out strong on their home court, taking the first set, but Lule Volley fought back to win the next two. Skellefteå didn’t let up, taking the fourth set, and the result was decided in a thrilling tiebreaker. Despite a slow start, Lule Volley powered through to wrap up the first game of the season with a win.
With little time to recover, the team went straight into their second match against Stöcke IF Vets. Lule took the first set, but Stöcke responded strongly, winning the next two. Lule Volley regrouped and came back, taking the fourth set and dominating the decisive tiebreaker.
